SMAI White Oak Bo Staff - 4ft 5ft 6ft 8ft

Available at MMABOXING, the SMAI White Oak Bo Staff is a premium hardwood weapon crafted for martial artists who refuse to compromise on quality, durability, or tradition.

Milled from genuine white oak, this staff delivers superior density and impact resistance compared to softer or synthetic alternatives, making it a top choice for rigorous contact training. The natural oak grain provides an attractive finish that varies subtly between pieces — a hallmark of authentic hardwood. Size options range from a compact 4ft (127cm x 2.5cm) through to the imposing 8ft Dragon Pole (250cm, 3–3.5cm diameter), with 6ft variants available in both a lighter thin profile at 0.65kg and a heavier thick profile at 1.15kg to suit different training goals.

Available in Size: 4ft - Straight, 5ft - Straight, 6ft - Straight - Thin, 6ft - Straight - Thick, 8ft - Dragon Pole.

Key Features:

• Genuine White Oak Construction – Offers outstanding hardness and durability, standing up to the demands of repeated contact training far better than rattan or synthetic alternatives.
• Five Size and Profile Variants – From the nimble 4ft straight to the powerful 8ft Dragon Pole, there is an option to match every practitioner's height, style, and discipline.
• Thin and Thick 6ft Options – The 0.65kg thin profile favours speed and agility, while the 1.15kg thick profile builds strength and replicates heavier traditional weapon handling.
• Natural Oak Finish – Each staff displays a unique grain pattern, giving every weapon an individual character while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Straight Design for Training Durability – The straight profile across all sizes (except the Dragon Pole taper) ensures consistent contact durability during partner and bag work.
• Sold Individually – Purchase precisely the size and profile you need rather than committing to a multipack.
• Suitable for All Ages and Skill Levels – An excellent introductory weapon that remains a serious tool for advanced practitioners and competition preparation alike.

From beginners taking their first steps in Japanese martial arts and bōjutsu through to seasoned practitioners training Dragon Pole forms in kung fu and traditional weapon disciplines, the SMAI White Oak Bo Staff scales with your ambition and handles whatever your training demands.
