Punching bag FAQs

Does the punching bag come filled?

Most of the punching bags we sell arrive filled and ready to hang. If a bag is sold unfilled, the product description says so clearly.

Are chains, a bracket or a stand included?

Only the items listed in the product title or description are included. Bundles list everything in the set. If you need a ceiling hook, wall bracket, chains or a free-standing stand, see our Bag Racks & Stands and Bag Hooks & Mounts ranges.

How do I hang a punching bag safely?

Use a bracket or ceiling hook rated for well above the bag's weight, fixed into a solid beam, joist or masonry wall, never just plasterboard. Heavy bags can weigh 20–60 kg or more and swing when hit, so if you're not sure about your ceiling or wall, have a builder or handyman install it.

What size punching bag should I get?

A 3ft bag suits boxing, kids and smaller spaces. A 4ft bag is a good all-rounder for punching and some low kicks. A 5ft or 6ft bag is best for kickboxing and Muay Thai, where you need a long target for low kicks.

How much does shipping cost for a bag?

Items over 5 kg are classed as heavy or bulky. Shipping is calculated by weight and your delivery state at checkout, and these items aren't included in free shipping. Very large items such as rings and cages need a freight quote. Bulky items can't be delivered to PO Boxes or parcel lockers.

Is there a warranty?

Our products are covered against manufacturing defects. Damage from misuse, accidents or normal wear and tear isn't covered. If something arrives faulty, contact us with photos and your order number and we'll sort it out. This doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
